INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/2 cups (300 g) high-gluten flour
- 2 tbsp (30 g) white sugar
- 1/2 tsp (3 g) yeast
- 1/4 tsp (1 g) salt
- 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp (130 g) warm milk
- 1 egg
DIRECTIONS
In a mixing bowl, add 2 1/2 cups (300 g) of high-gluten flour, 2 tbsp (30 g) of white sugar, 1/2 tsp (3 g) of yeast, 1/4 tsp (1 g) of salt, 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp (130 g) of warm milk, and 1 egg. Stir to form floccules (small clumps).
Sprinkle some dry flour on the board and spread it out. Place the floccules on the board and knead them into a dough.
Add 1 1/2 tbsp (20 g) of butter and continue kneading until there is no flour left on your hands or gloves.
Place the dough in a warm place, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it ferment until it doubles in size.
After fermentation, press and knead the dough slightly to release air, then roll it out into a thin rectangular sheet.
Cut the dough into roughly equal long triangles.
Roll up the dough from the wide end of the triangle to the pointed end to form a crescent shape. You can bend the ends down to form a more curved crescent shape.
Place the rolled crescent rolls in the frying basket, cover them with plastic wrap, and let them ferment in the air fryer for 30 minutes.
After removing the plastic wrap, brush a layer of egg wash on the surface of the crescent rolls and sprinkle some white sesame seeds on top.
Place the rolls in the air fryer and bake at 280°F (140°C) for 20 minutes. The crispy and soft crescent rolls are ready!
