Easy Microwave Tanghulu Recipe
Making tanghulu in the microwave is so convenient! It only takes two minutes, and even beginners can do it easily! This method makes tanghulu that's both delicious and simple. Each bite bursts with juice, with a crispy outside and a soft, chewy inside—so tasty!

INGREDIENTS
- 250g strawberries
- 60g white sugar
- 20g purified water
DIRECTIONS
Wash the fruit and make sure to dry it completely.
Skewer the fruit using bamboo sticks. Insert the stick through both ends of the fruit (top and bottom) to avoid breaking the skin, which could cause the fruit to release moisture.
Mix sugar and water at a 3:1 ratio. For example, in a small bowl, add 60g of sugar and 20g of water. No need to stir.
Place the sugar mixture in the microwave and heat on high for about 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Every 30 seconds, check the sugar mixture. Once you see dense, light yellow bubbles, it's ready. Be sure to wear oven mitts, as it will be very hot!
Test the sugar by dipping chopsticks into the mixture and placing them in cold water. If it hardens with a crisp sound or bite, it’s ready.
Quickly roll the skewered strawberries in the bubbling sugar, then wave them in the air for a few seconds to cool.
Place the Tanghulu on parchment paper to cool completely (make sure to use parchment paper to avoid sticking). Your simple, homemade strawberry Tanghulu is done!
