Steamed eggs with Morel mushrooms
Steamed eggs are a beloved dish enjoyed by many. Not only do they retain the nutrition of eggs, but they also have a smooth and tender texture that melts in your mouth. Their mild flavor appeals to a wide range of people. However, some friends struggle to make steamed eggs perfectly. In fact, the method is quite simple, and as long as you follow the steps, you can create delicious steamed eggs easily.

INGREDIENTS
- 3 eggs
- 3 pieces of morel mushrooms
DIRECTIONS
Prepare the Ingredients. Gather eggs, morel mushrooms, and spring onion.
Clean the morel mushrooms in advance, soaking them in warm water at 45 degrees Celsius. Use a brush to scrub them clean.
Pat dry the cleaned morel mushrooms and set aside. Also, chop the spring onion and set it aside.
Beat the eggs to form egg mixture, and add 1 gram of salt for seasoning.
Tips:
You can dissolve the salt in the prepared warm water beforehand. This ensures the salt is fully dissolved and can mix better with the egg mixture.
Prepare a bowl of warm water at 45 degrees Celsius, ensuring it is 1.5 times the volume of the egg mixture.
Pour the prepared warm water into the egg mixture, thoroughly mixing them together.
Tips:
Be gentle when combining the egg mixture and water to avoid excessive foam.
Strain the mixed egg liquid to prevent bubble formation, ensuring a smooth and pore-free steamed egg.
Tips:
The egg liquid needs to be sieved, and any foam on the surface should be removed thoroughly.
Cover the prepared egg mixture with plastic wrap and poke a few small holes on the surface.
Tips:
Be cautious not to make the holes too large, as water may drip into the bowl through them.
Once the water boils, place the prepared egg mixture onto the steaming rack and steam over high heat for about 12 minutes.
Tips:
Maintain high heat throughout the steaming process and turn off the heat only after steaming is complete.
After the eggs are steamed, add the morel mushrooms and continue steaming for an additional 3 minutes. Then, turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Tips:
Eggs do not need to be steamed for too long, around 15 minutes is sufficient. Steaming for too long may affect the texture of the food.
Take out the steamed eggs and sprinkle them with the prepared chopped spring onion.
Pour the prepared blanched white sauce over them for seasoning.
Add a little sesame oil, and they're ready to be enjoyed.
By following the above steps, you can create a healthy, delicious, and smooth steamed egg dish.
