Steamed Sea Bass
In modern healthy eating, steaming is undoubtedly a great cooking method. It keeps the kitchen clean and allows you to enjoy the natural flavors of the food.
Steamed sea bass has a very mild taste, with tender fish and delicious broth. It's rich in nutrients, making it ideal for both the elderly and children. The preparation is straightforward and requires minimal seasoning, preserving the fish's original flavor. This dish is perfect for family gatherings and is sure to be a hit at the dinner table.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 fresh sea bass
DIRECTIONS
Prepare all the ingredients.
Scale and gut the sea bass, then rinse it thoroughly and pat it dry. Make diagonal cuts on both sides of the fish, and rub a pinch of salt and cooking wine on the skin and inside the cavity. Let it marinate for a while.
Tips:
Making diagonal cuts on both sides of the fish helps it steam faster and enhances the flavor. However, if you prefer to keep the fish whole, you can skip this step.
Cut the green onion into sections and julienne, peel and slice the ginger, and deseed and julienne the red chili pepper. Soak some of the julienned green onion in cold water to make them naturally curl, which looks nicer when used as a garnish later.
Place three large segments of green onion evenly spaced on the bottom of the steaming plate.
Tips:
This allows steam to circulate smoothly, ensuring even cooking. You can also use chopsticks instead.
Lay the sea bass on top of the green onion segments, and arrange the ginger slices and remaining green onion julienne on the fish.
Once the water in the steamer is boiling, place the sea bass inside and steam over high heat for about 10 minutes.
Tips:
Adjust the steaming time according to the size of the fish.
After steaming, discard the excess liquid and the used ginger slices and green onion. Replace them with fresh green onion and red chili julienne, drizzle with soy sauce for seafood, which removes any fishy smell and enhances the flavor.
Heat the cooking oil until it starts to smoke slightly, then pour it over the green onion and red chili julienne on top of the sea bass.
Serve and enjoy the delicious meal.
